Cisco ASA: denials of service

An attacker can trigger several denials of service in Cisco ASA Appliances, Cisco ASA Services Module for Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches and Cisco 7600 Series Routers, and Cisco ASA 1000V Cloud Firewall.

Description of the vulnerability

Several vulnerabilities were announced in Cisco ASA.

When IKE version 1 is enabled, an attacker can send a malformed message, in order to trigger a denial of service. [severity:3/4; BID-59001, CSCub85692, CSCud20267, CVE-2013-1149]

An attacker can use a malicious url, in order to trigger a denial of service. [severity:3/4; BID-59004, CSCud16590, CVE-2013-1150]

An attacker can use a malformed X.509 certificate, in order to trigger a denial of service. [severity:3/4; BID-59005, CSCuc72408, CVE-2013-1151]

An attacker can send a malformed DNS packet, in order to trigger a denial of service. [severity:3/4; BID-59012, CSCuc80080, CVE-2013-1152]

An attacker can therefore trigger several denials of service in Cisco ASA Appliances, Cisco ASA Services Module for Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches and Cisco 7600 Series Routers, and Cisco ASA 1000V Cloud Firewall.
