Description of the vulnerability 

Several vulnerabilities affect Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) and PIX.

An attacker can bypass authentication of L2TP IPSec tunnels when a LDAP authentication server is used and when authentication protocol is not PAP (ie: CHAP, MS-CHAPv1 or MS-CHAPv2). [severity:3/4; CSCsh42793, CVE-2007-2462, VU#210876]

An attacker can bypass authentication when a LDAP AAA server is used to access to a telnet, SSH or HTTP management service. [severity:3/4; CSCsh42793, CVE-2007-2462, VU#210876]

An attacker can generate a denial of service when an expiry time is defined on passwords (password-management password-expire-in-days). For IPSec tunnels, attacker has to know group name and its password to exploit the attack. [severity:3/4; CSCsh81111, CVE-2007-2463]
