Description of the vulnerability 

Norton product watches for operations on registry in order to forbid an application to edit its own keys.

However, the HKLM\SOFTWARE\Symantec\CCPD\SuiteOwners key is not protected. It indicates DLLs that product can load. A local attacker can thus edit this key and wait for a service restart in order to execute malicious code.

This vulnerability therefore permits an attacker to bypass security measures of the product.
