Description of the vulnerability 

The MBM (Symbian/Psion MultiBitMap) file format is used to store bitmap images, which can be compressed with RLE (Run Length Encoding).

The RLE decoder of the XnView image displaying program does not allocate sufficient memory to store data of an MBM image. An heap overflow then occurs.

An attacker can therefore invite the victim to open a malicious MBM document with XnView, in order to execute code on his computer.
